THE LLOYD STORY

From a single truck to the Southern Arizona skyline, our history is built on a legacy of trust.

Bill Lloyd arrived in Tucson in 1959 as a University of Arizona engineering student — and never left. In 1969, he founded Lloyd Construction on a simple belief: that a company could drive real growth for the community without losing the integrity of a family business. That belief became his legacy — honored in 2007 when the Arizona Builders' Alliance established the CAPLA Lloyd Scholarship in his memory, supporting the next generation of U of A students in Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture. Today, his sons William E. and Bradley J. Lloyd carry that legacy forward, with the third generation already at work. Ninety-five percent of our clients come back, because when you work with Lloyd, you're not a project; you're part of a 57-year tradition.

continuing the tradition: bill & brad lloyd

william e. lloyd, president

Bill didn't inherit a title — he earned one. He started at Lloyd Construction as a carpenter, worked his way through Superintendent and Project Management roles, and personally oversaw some of the firm's most complex projects before becoming an owner in 1993. He holds his LEED Accredited Professional credential and serves today as President. That field-rooted experience means when Bill is at the table, he understands your project from the ground up — not just from the boardroom.

bradley j. lloyd, vice president

Brad holds a Bachelor of Science from Western New Mexico University, Masters Training Certification from the American Concrete Institute, and Project Manager Certification from Fred Pryor Seminars. After working across field and in-house roles at Lloyd, he became an owner in 1993 and serves today as Vice President. In 2019, he was elected State Chairman of the Arizona Builders' Alliance — a reflection of the credibility he carries across the industry. That network, and that reputation, works in your favor when Lloyd is your contractor.

When you work with Lloyd, you have direct access to ownership — leaders who know this business from every angle and treat every project as a reflection of their family's name.

That's not common in this industry. At Lloyd, it's standard.

ownership sets the tone. our senior leadership team carries it through.

Lloyd's senior leaders bring more than technical expertise — they bring accountability, accessibility, and a personal stake in every outcome.

That combination is what turns first-time clients into 57-year relationships.
