We’re thrilled to announce that Lloyd Construction Company, Inc. has successfully completed the remodel and expansion of the Mt. Lemmon Fire Station—a long-anticipated upgrade for this vital mountain community resource in Arizona’s Coronado National Forest.

This project represents the first major renovation of the fire station since it was originally built in the early 1980s. Over the years, the facility had served admirably but had increasingly struggled to meet modern expectations for firefighter safety, operational efficiency, and living accommodations.

Modern Upgrades with Real Impact

Thanks to thoughtful planning and strong community support, the remodel transformed the existing structure into a safer, more functional home base for the dedicated men and women who protect the Mt. Lemmon area. Key improvements included:

  • Expanded footprint to allow for better operational flow and response readiness.
  • Upgraded living quarters and amenities that honor the well-being and comfort of firefighters on duty.
  • Improved safety systems designed to reduce exposure to exhaust and other contaminants often encountered during daily operations.

These upgrades not only enhance firefighter safety and comfort but also strengthen emergency response capabilities for residents and visitors alike.

A Project Rooted in Community Partnership

This remodel was a true collaboration—from initial planning and fundraising to construction and project delivery. Local leadership and community members worked tirelessly to secure funding and approvals, reflecting the deep appreciation for first responders and the rugged environment they serve.

As the remodel is now complete, the Mt. Lemmon Fire Station stands ready to support emergency response efforts more safely and effectively than ever before.

Lloyd Construction is honored to have served as General Contractor on this meaningful project—supporting the health and readiness of those who protect our mountain community.
